Historic American Indians
Indian Agent John Johnston recounts his role in the assimilation and removal of the American Indians living in Ohio. He invites students to dialog with him as he is writing his memoirs. Johnston reflects on his dual responsibilities to the federal government and to the American Indian tribes under his care. Students will appreciate the complexities of the issues.
